olypropylene pipes can also be used in pressurized tubing network but their application range is limited to low-pressure lines (indoor consumption, sanitary cold and hot water piping). Now these pipes are used in delivering chemicals and in waste water systems.

Advantages of polypropylene pipe and fittings

1- It does not rust and corrode and the water inside it is completely sanitary.

2- Roughness of its inner surface is approximately zero. Therefore, it does not suffer from pressure drop.

3- It can bear the pressure of 20 atmosphere at normal temperature and they pressure of 10 atmosphere at 95ͦ C

4- It is resistant to acids and bases.

5- It is secure in built-in plumbing and elegant in external installation.

6- The coefficient of linear expansion is low and on a par with metals.

7- It is impenetrable is gasses.

8- It can be formed by hot air of 140oC.

9- It is installed easily and quickly.

10- It enjoys high quality and long service life

11- It is resistant to corrosion, biological effects and chemicals. One the intrinsic characteristics of polymeric pipe is resistance to chemical effects and erosion caused by building materials such as line and cement.

23- Heat insulation and nonconductivity of polypropylene pipes and fittings reduce heat loss of the fluids flowing inside the pipes to the minimum. This characteristics in turn, prevents forming of dense clumps and masses on the other surface. Accordingly, these pipes require less insulation in comparison to metal ones

24- The light cannot penetrate the pipes and fittings. So the taste of water doesn’t change.
